SLF Taekwon-Do & Little Pumas is the name for the schools that I run in Biddulph, Macclesfield, Buxton and Leek. I first took over the Biddulph school in July 2012, from my instructor Master Dennis Salt. I have since then gone on to open Macclesfield in 2014, take over Buxton in 2015 and also have Leek gradually passed on to me from 2016 – 2020. Thankfully, the classes have gone from strength to strength, starting out with just 23 students in 2012, to now having lots of amazing students come to our Taekwon-Do and Little Puma sessions each week.
New Century Taekwon-Do is the name for our 10 local schools across Staffordshire, Derbyshire & Cheshire, our first school started in Leek on the 3rd January 1989 at 8pm. Back then the schools were known as the ‘DS TKD Group’ but chief instructor, Dennis Salt saw the need to update Taekwon-Do and bring it into this century, hence the name ‘New Century Taekwon-Do’.
P.U.M.A. stands for the ‘Professional Unification of Martial Arts’ and was inaugurated on September 1st 2000, by some of the country’s leading martial arts instructors. Since its formation, P.U.M.A. has become one of the largest ITF Taekwon-Do groups in the country, headed by Senior Master Ray Gayle, 8th Degree and Master Mark Ogborne, 7th Degree.
